Job Summary
The Community Manager will promote financial inclusion initiatives by engaging female entrepreneurs, youth, and rural communities. The role emphasizes building strong community relationships, promoting the Bank's products, enhancing financial literacy, and supporting economic empowerment. The Community Manager will ensure that the bank’s services are accessible, relevant, and impactful for underserved populations, helping achieve the organization’s overall inclusion goals.
Job Details
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement community engagement strategies targeting female entrepreneurs, youth, and rural populations.
2. Act as the main liaison between the Bank and community groups, understanding their financial needs and challenges.
3. Organize and lead financial literacy workshops, training sessions, and outreach programs.
4. Collaborate with the Head of Financial Inclusion to align community activities with strategic inclusion goals.
5. Collect, analyze, and report community feedback to support product development and service improvements.
6. Build and sustain partnerships with local women’s groups, youth organizations, cooperatives, NGOs, and government agencies.
7. Monitor and evaluate the impact of community engagement efforts and report key findings.
8. Address community concerns and resolve issues to maintain trust and positive relationships, while supporting marketing and communication teams with localized campaigns and messaging.
9. Document community engagement activities and keep accurate records.
10. Develop and manage targeted WhatsApp broadcast lists and support groups for women entrepreneurs and youth borrowers, utilizing voice notes, short videos, and chat-friendly graphics to enhance engagement, particularly among semi-literate users.
11. Respond promptly to questions or service-related issues raised in WhatsApp channels, using clear and simple language.
12. Highlight success stories of female clients and youth to inspire participation and promote peer-to-peer influence.
13. Support the rollout of financial inclusion workshops or webinars by engaging participants before and after events, and collect both qualitative and quantitative feedback through WhatsApp groups and social media followers.
15. Suggest messaging improvements to product and loan teams based on recurring questions or low-engagement content.
16. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in community engagement, Microfinance, or financial inclusion programs.
- Proven track record working with female entrepreneurs, youth, and rural communities.
