Job Summary

The CTO will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Bank's Information Technology (IT) department. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and a proven track record of success in leading and transforming IT functions within a dynamic and growing organization. The CTO will be instrumental in aligning IT strategy with the Bank's business objectives, ensuring the delivery of innovative and efficient technology solutions, and maintaining a secure and robust IT infrastructure.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Strategic Leadership: 
    1. Develop and execute the Bank's IT strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall business goals and objectives.
    2. Define and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
    3. Oversee the development and implementation of a robust IT governance framework.
  2. Technology Innovation: 
    1. Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on the Bank's operations.
    2. Lead the exploration and implementation of innovative technologies such as AI, machine learning, blockchain, and cloud computing to enhance operational efficiency, improve customer experience, and drive business growth.
    3. Drive digital transformation initiatives, including the development and implementation of digital banking channels, mobile banking solutions, and online platforms.
  3. Technology Operations: 
    1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including infrastructure, systems administration, network security, and application development.
    2. Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of all IT systems and applications.
    3. Oversee IT projects and ensure their timely and successful delivery within budget and scope.
  4. Team Management: 
    1. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of IT professionals.
    2. Train qualified IT personnel.
    3. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the IT department.
  5. Risk Management: 
    1. Identify and mitigate IT risks, including cyber security threats, data breaches, and system failures.
    2. Ensure compliance with all relevant data protection and privacy regulations.
    3. Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  6. Financial Management: 
    1. Manage the IT budget effectively and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
    2. Negotiate contracts with IT vendors and service providers.
    3. Monitor and control IT costs. 

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Proven track record of success in leading and transforming IT functions within a dynamic and growing organization.
